Behavior Expectations:
Students are expected to behave within a manner that demonstrates the RABBIT way.

Homework Policy

In most cases, ample work time will be provided during class. Students should be able to complete and submit assignments during the class period. Consequently, all work is expected to be submitted by the due date. If a student feels they are unable to submit work on time, they must talk to me.

Absence/homework makeup Policy

If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check Schoology and with me about assignments given. The timelines provided within the Student Handbook will be followed.

Late/Missing Work Policy

Because the majority of assignments will be completed within the classroom, students should not have late or missing assignments. If a student feels they will not be able to submit an assignment on time, they must speak with the teacher to make arrangements. Students will have one day to submit missing assignments. After that 10% will be deducted. Once the chapter is complete and assessed, students may submit missing work for 50% credit.

Test/Quiz Policy

When completing tests and quizzes, students must remain quiet until the last student has completed their test or quiz. Failure to do so may result in a score of ‘0’ for that assessment. Students should ask the teacher questions that arise during or after an assessment.

Per the 5-12 Student Handbook:

CHEATING AND PLAGIARISM

Cheating and plagiarism are prohibited. Students who cheat or commit plagiarism on any test or assignment will be given a failing grade for that test or assignment and will be disciplined in accordance with the school district’s “Student Discipline” policy (Policy 506).

Cell Phone/Smart Watches/Devices:
Cell phones and smart watches/devices should be left in lockers.
Per the 5-12 Student Handbook:
Grades 5-8 will not be allowed to use cell phones in the classroom.  Cell phones will either be checked in at the beginning of the class period or not brought into the classroom.  5-8 students are allowed to use their phone between classes and at lunch. Failure to comply would result in the following consequences.

Consequences will be as follows:

1st Offense: High School Principal will collect the device and given back at the end of the school day.

2nd Offense: High School Principal will collect the device and given back at the end of the school day and a detention will be assigned..

3rd Offense: High School Principal will collect and parents will pick it up as well as a detention will be assigned

4th Offense and beyond: Cell phone privilege is revoked.
